QUILTERS WANTED
Flags Across The Nation is looking for quilters to volunteer their time, fabric and talent to the making of 5 new quilts. Flags Across The Nation is a 501 (c) (3) non profit with headquarters in Charlotte, NC. We have taken art from our 4th annual children's art contest and transferred the images to fabric. So far we have created 7 quilts that have been exhibited at various venues. Current venue will be the Charlotte International Airport opening soon in February. We welcome your talent and salute you for participating with us. Without you, we could not complete this wonderful project of promoting patriotism through the arts. Besides Iraq, the group has sent blankets to the VA Hospital in Salisbury and the Miami (Fla.) Medical Center. "A blanket warms you, and we're saying the blanket will help in your recovery because people care," Schwartz said. The organization also volunteered with an Arizona effort that collected 215 blankets for soldiers, and sponsors a children's art contest where winning entries will be turned into quilts.
