Modern Ancient Glass Mosaics

Graduate from grout to fully-fused glass mosaics!

Saturday & Sunday, January 12 &13th

Instruction: 10am-4pm Both Days

Fee: $475 includes all materials and studio hours

Students will design and create four mosaics, forever trapping layers and layers of glass into a single sheet of sterile glass, capable of lasting hundreds or thousands of years. They will create their own components, load and operate kilns, and learn all the steps necessary to reproduce Modern Ancient Glass Mosaics in their own studios.

This class is limited to six students. Our studios will open at 8am, and close at 8pm, both days. Students are encouraged to come early and stay late to become familiar with equipment, and finish projects. Determined beginners who can cut glass will be able to keep up, and are welcome to attend. Plan on being overwhelmed. Our staff will assist you in every way possible.

Modern Ancient Glass Mosaics is an advanced level class involving long, slow annealing schedules and multiple firings.  Students will return at a date and time of their choice to complete some of their pieces. These additional studio hours (2-8) are included in class curriculum. For students unable to return, our staff will complete and/or ship your creations.

Lunch will be catered each day. Special needs can be met if notified in advance. We also have a refrigerator for your favorite beverages or snacks.

 Art In The Dairy does not stock or sell retail products. While we provide tools and materials, students are welcome to bring their favorite tools and/or Bullseye Glass.

Art In The Dairy is a Bullseye Glass ONLY studio, and will provide a well rounded selection for this class.

 Students are welcome to bring their own pattern bars for inclusion, but they must be composed of 100% Bullseye Glass.
