More Metal In The Dairy!

Precious Metal Clay

By: PMC Certified Instructor Susan Lambert
Monday, January 8th, 6-9pm
Fee: $150     Includes All Materials

Precious Metal Clay (PMC) is a material soft enough to shape and mold like modeling clay - that turns into Genuine Fine Silver after firing, all without complex or expensive forging and casting equipment!  PMC is not an alchemy myth: it is a real material, that is absolutely fun and fascinating to work with. Just mold the clay, let it dry, do final shaping, then fire in a kiln, polish, and wear!

In this class, students will create a pendant and several charms using Precious Metal Clay.  They will learn techniques that can be repeated in their own home studio.  Kiln firing of any student made pieces is available through Art In The Dairy,  as is PMC, art clay silver, kilns, and tools.

Cold Working Metals

By: Susan Lambert

Monday, January 22nd, 6-9pm

Fee: $85     Includes All Materials

Students will make beautiful and comfortable handcrafted silver wires, using a variety of silver fabrication techniques.  Patterning methods will be used to embellish sterling silver to make dangles for the wires. Students will have earrings to wear home, extra ear wires, silver, and a great new bundle of skills and ideas.

To register for either of these metal opportunities, call Rose Hawley at 704-287-4572, or email rose@artinthedairy.com
