Students will learn how to design specifically for each glass mold, creating four unique glass items, just in time for Valentine's. They will create their own components, load and operate kilns, and learn all the steps necessary to reproduce each process in their own studios. Packing Glass Molds is an advanced level class involving multiple firings, and a wide range of firing schedules. Beginners are welcome, and will easily fit in, without missing a beat. Our studios will open at 9am, and close at 6pm, both days. Students are encouraged to come early and stay late to become familiar with equipment, and finish projects. Lunch will be catered each day. Special needs can be met if notified in advance. We also have a refrigerator and a microwave for your favorite beverages or snacks. Art In The Dairy will provide all tools and materials necessary for this class. Students are welcome to bring their favorite cutters and nippers. Art In The Dairy is a Bullseye Glass ONLY studio, and will provide a well rounded selection for this class. Students are welcome to bring their own pattern bars, or other pieces for inclusion, but they must be composed of 100% Bullseye Glass. To register, contact Rose Hawley at 704-287-4572, or rose@artinthedairy.com Art In The Dairy opened in 2006 to advance the production of fine art glass, and glass related art in the Charlotte, North Carolina area.
